How to connect to your Longvinter server

This article covers joining your PlayNHost Longvinter server and what to give your friends.

1. Find your server address

1. Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing and open your Longvinter service.
2. Note the IP / Hostname and Port. Longvinter uses 7777 by default, and your service may use another port.

2. Start the server

1. Open the server in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com and click Start.
2. Watch the Console until the island has loaded.

3. Join from the game

1. Launch Longvinter.
2. Open the server browser from the main menu.
3. Search for your island name, which is the ServerName value in your config.
4. Select it and join, entering the password if one is set.

If the browser offers a direct connect field, entering IP:Port gets you in without waiting for the list.

4. What to give your friends

• The island name for the browser.
• The IP and port for a direct join.
• The password, if you set one. Longvinter passwords take letters and numbers only.

5. If the server is not found

• Give a newly started server a few minutes before expecting it in the list.
• Check the player limit in the config.
• Confirm everyone is on the same game version, and restart the server from the panel after a game update.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with your IP, port and the exact error if it continues.
