Game PanelIcarus keeps its server settings in ServerSettings.ini, in the config folder under Icarus/Saved/Config/.
1. Open the file
- Stop the server in the Game Panel and wait for it to report offline. Icarus rewrites this file on shutdown.
- Open the Files tab and browse to the config folder.
- Open
ServerSettings.ini. Every setting sits under the[/Script/Icarus.DedicatedServerSettings]header.
2. The settings you will change

SessionName | The name players search for. |
JoinPassword | Password to join. Empty means open. |
AdminPassword | Password for admin rights. Always set one. |
MaxPlayers | Player slots. |
ShutdownIfNotJoinedFor | Seconds before an empty server stops itself. 0 disables it. |
AllowNonAdminsToLaunchProspects | Whether ordinary players can start a new prospect. |
CreateProspect | Creates and loads a new prospect by name. |
LoadProspect | Loads an existing prospect. |
ResumeProspect | Resumes the prospect that was running. |
3. Save and restart
- Save the file.
- Start the server and read the console for the session name and the prospect it loaded.
4. Watch the idle shutdown
ShutdownIfNotJoinedFor stops the server after that many seconds with nobody connected. If your server seems to keep crashing when nobody is on it, this is usually what is happening. Set it to 0 to keep the server up.
5. If a value keeps reverting
- You edited while the server was running. Stop it first, every time.
- Check the setting is under the section header. A line above it is ignored.
- Prospect names are case sensitive and must match exactly.
Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the setting name and the value you want if it will not hold.
