Why is the smallest plan only 1GB?
Because Mindustry genuinely does not need more. It is a 2D game with a small memory footprint, and a twenty player server runs comfortably in a gigabyte. Selling you more than that would be selling you nothing.
How many players can actually play together?
Mindustry scales well socially. Twenty is a busy co-op base. Forty is a proper community server. Sixty is a large public map, and it is the tier where the extra memory is doing real work.
Can I choose the map?
Yes, the starting map is a panel field. Custom maps and full map rotations go into the server's own directory, which you reach through the web file manager and over SFTP.
Can I run server commands?
Yes. The panel gives you the server console, which is where Mindustry's own commands are entered. That is how you change maps mid-session, manage players and run gamemode commands.
How fast is setup?
Very. Mindustry is a small download, so the server is created at checkout and joinable almost immediately.
